Coco Finger Shares the Turning Point That Launched His Career
Ugandan dancehall artiste Coco Finger, born Moses Okori, has opened up about the choices and experiences that shaped his early music career.
Speaking on Galaxy TV Deep Talk, Coco Finger revealed that during his early days he carried a small blue covered Bible in his pocket.
At the time, friends told him that smoking marijuana would help him gain confidence on stage.
Influenced by that advice, he experimented and even used pages from the Bible he carried.
He said that period marked a shift in his journey.
Shortly afterward, he composed Emikono Wagulu, the song that propelled him into the spotlight within Uganda’s dancehall scene.
He also recalled an incident at Lido Beach where he fell during a performance and injured his ribs.
Despite the fall and the pain, he completed his set and later realized he was bleeding before seeking medical attention.
Looking back, Coco Finger said those moments strengthened his resilience and shaped the path of his career.
