Comedian Salvador Claps Back at Kirya UG’s Gulu and Arua ‘Money Laundering’ Post
X (formerly Twitter) personality Kirya UG recently stirred up a heated discussion with a post featuring an old picture of himself carrying Jose Chameleone.
The caption read, “Me carrying Chameleon to go perform in Gulu and Arua because we can’t miss out on this money laundering season going on in that region.”
Known for his sharp humor and playful posts, Kirya’s comment drew laughter from many of his followers. However, not everyone found the joke amusing.
Comedian Patrick Salvador Idringi, in particular, was quick to express his displeasure.
Responding to the post, the man from Ombokolo criticized the implication that Gulu and Arua could only afford international artistes through illegal means, calling it a showcase of ignorance.
His response sparked further debate on X, with users divided on whether Kirya’s post was simply harmless banter or an offensive misrepresentation of the region.
In response to Salvador’s quote, Kirya wrote, “So you people move around misinterpreting random people’s posts like this?” implying that the comedian had taken his post out of context.
So in your wisdom you presume people from Gulu and Arua are broke and the only way they can hire international artists is through Money Laundering .. interesting showcase of ignorance here https://t.co/WxYACzDxgI
