Concert Clashes Are Here to Stay, Says Eddy Kenzo

Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, had a lively chat with Sanyuka TV about a hot topic in Uganda’s music scene: the rising trend of musicians hosting concerts on the same day.

Kenzo noted that this was not as common in the past but has become the new normal in today’s music world.

According to him, the growing number of artists in Uganda has brought more competition, while the country itself is not getting any bigger.

The BET Award winner highlighted that with new songs dropping daily and fresh hits popping up almost every week, the pressure is on.

Musicians now have to work twice as hard to stay in the spotlight and win over the crowds.

Kenzo shared that when it comes to overlapping concert dates, it is all about the hustle. The artiste who works harder and earns the audience’s love will always draw the biggest crowd.

So, instead of stressing over concert clashes, he suggests focusing on strong promotion and advertising to fill those seats.

In his view, clashing concerts are simply the way things are now. Musicians just have to roll with it, adapt, and embrace the competitive nature of Uganda’s booming music industry.
