Ugandan music fans are left wondering after Ykee Benda dropped a message suggesting a major change in his career.

The singer hinted that his next album could be his last in the secular music scene.

On his latest post on X, the “Munakampala” hitmaker wrote:

I feel alive and ready to go. Album mode: This could be my last secular album (could).

With two studio albums, Kireka Boy and Kirabo, plus countless hit singles and collaborations, Ykee Benda has cemented his place in Uganda’s music industry.

His latest words hint at a shift that could surprise fans, possibly signaling a move toward gospel music.

The revelation comes at a significant time in Ykee Benda’s personal life.

He recently got engaged to lawyer fiancée Emily Nyawira after going public with their relationship in 2023.

On June 13, Ykee Benda proposed at an intimate ceremony at Divine Resort.

The couple followed this with a kukyala ceremony on June 29, a traditional visit to Emily’s family for marriage blessings.

On September 13, they celebrated their traditional introduction ceremony in Najeera.
