Court Filing Alleges Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock To Shift Focus from Jada Scandal

New court filings linked to a $3 million lawsuit against Jada Pinkett Smith have reignited debate around the true events surrounding the 2022 Oscars slap that shocked the world.

According to plaintiff Bilaal Salaam, Will Smith’s former associate, the Chris Rock incident later became a convenient distraction from deeper personal disputes behind the scenes involving Jada.

In his lawsuit, Bilaal alleges that tensions between himself and Jada escalated months before the Oscars, following a heated confrontation at Will Smith’s 2021 birthday party.

He claims he was later contacted to assist with reputation management after the Oscars incident but declined, saying he would not take part in misleading public narratives.

He now suggests the global focus on the slap helped shift attention away from internal conflicts he was already facing with the Smith camp.

Court documents further accuse Jada of orchestrating intimidation and a public smear effort after she learned Bilaal was preparing a memoir about his time with the family.

He maintains that his public interviews only came as a form of self-protection.

The Smiths have not responded to the allegations.

All claims remain unproven and will be tested in court.
