Crysto Panda Holds Both Alien Skin and Pallaso at Fault for Empeele Festival Confrontation, Recalls The Incident

Singer Crysto Panda, the organizer of the Empele Festival, has shared his perspective on the confrontation between musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso that unfolded during the event.

Speaking to Sanyuka TV, Panda expressed his disappointment over the chaos and clarified his efforts to prevent any clashes between the two artistes.

Panda revealed that on the day of the event, Pallaso had informed him that he had shows in Mbale and Entebbe but assured him he would perform at the Empele Festival because Panda had always supported him, particularly during Pallaso’s event at Cricket Oval.

Panda’s aim was to ensure that Alien Skin and Pallaso did not meet at any point during the festival, so he carefully planned their performances to be at separate times.

“I had scheduled Pallaso to perform between 8 PM and 9 PM and even encouraged him to come earlier if possible. Alien Skin, on the other hand, was slated to perform later in the night, creating a significant gap between their sets,” Panda said.

However, things took a turn when Pallaso called Panda around 9 PM from Entebbe, saying immediately after his performance there he would make his way to the festival and urged Panda not to end the show without him.

Pallaso eventually arrived around 11 PM, nearing midnight.

“When Pallaso arrived at the venue, he informed me that he wanted to perform immediately and leave since he had another show to attend. He had no intention of a confrontation with anyone,” Panda said.

However, the situation took a turn when Alien Skin’s group arrived and parked Alien Skin’s Range Rover directly in front of Pallaso’s car, blocking it.

Panda noticed the brewing tension and quickly realized that this would lead to chaos.

“Alien Skin’s group, which was large in number, began accusing Pallaso of disrespecting Alien Skin in his freestyles,” Panda said.

Panda approached Alien Skin and pleaded with him to move his car to avoid any confrontation, explaining the potential danger and the fact that he would be held responsible if things escalated.

“However, Alien Skin simply smiled and seemed unbothered. He then sat on the bonnet of his car and started singing his song ‘Bawe Bawe,’ which his fans joined in, creating a spectacle while Pallaso was still performing on stage,” Panda explained.

Panda believes that Pallaso, feeling disrespected, responded with a freestyle aimed at Alien Skin.

“Alien Skin’s group then made their way to the stage, overpowering the bouncers. I rushed to the stage, trying to prevent the confrontation from escalating further, especially since the event was attended by families with children. I begged both sides to avoid any physical engagement,” Panda said.

The situation worsened when Alien Skin’s group demanded that Pallaso’s microphone be removed, something Panda could not do.

“After Pallaso finished his performance, chaos broke out as he attempted to leave the stage. I want to thank Pallaso for leaving the venue, despite many claims that he ran away. Had he stayed, it would have gotten much worse,” Panda stated.

After the chaos, Alien Skin took the stage and performed.

Panda, reflecting on the events, said both artistes were in the wrong.

“Supporting an event should benefit the organizer, but the fight between Alien Skin and Pallaso only hurt the festival,” Panda said.

“The incident was not part of my plan. These are two adults with their own differences who allowed their personal issues to spill over into the event,” he added.

Panda concluded by urging both Alien Skin and Pallaso to reflect on their actions and avoid situations that could jeopardize their careers.

“Both of them are my friends, but they were both in the wrong. This is my event, and I wanted it to succeed. Fighting at my event does not help me; it only takes away from me,” Panda emphasized.

Panda also clarified that some people have wrongly blamed him for the confrontation but maintained that it was never part of his event plan.
