Damon Wayans Causes Family Drama After Falling for Nephew’s Ex Girlfriend

American comedian and actor Damon Wayans revealed a big family secret, and he is not sorry about it.

He said on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast that he once fell in love with a woman who had dated his nephew, and he does not regret it at all.

Shannon tried to remind him that dating a family member’s ex is not allowed, but Damon did not care.

He said his nephew was not really in love with her, but he was.

Damon met the woman in 2001, after his divorce from Lisa Thorner. He said it was love at first sight.

Later, he found out she had dated his nephew, but that did not stop him. He blamed it on how small the dating scene in California is.

He talked to his nephew before starting a serious relationship with the woman.

Damon joked, “I asked him, ‘What do you think?’ and he said, ‘She is yours.’ So I said, ‘Okay, pass the drink, let us go!’ Then I fell in love. It was fine.”

Even though he was happy, Damon said family gatherings are now a bit strange.

Still, with such a big family like the Wayans, maybe something like this was bound to happen one day.
