Davido Withdraws From Daughter Imade’s Custody Case
Davido has withdrawn from the custody case involving his daughter, Imade.
In posts shared on X, the Afrobeats star said he never asked for full custody, clarifying that his request was for joint custody. He added that there was nothing to celebrate, stating that neither side won.
Davido explained that he decided to discontinue the case after what he described as an unacceptable development in court. He alleged that references were made to his late son during proceedings, calling it a line that should not have been crossed.
The matter was heard at the Lagos State High Court in Yaba, where lawyer Maruf Muhammed had earlier referenced tense courtroom moments in social media posts.
Despite the legal dispute, Imade was recently seen spending time with her father after winning a talent competition.
Davido maintained that his actions were motivated by love for his daughter as the custody issue continues to draw attention.
