As Buganda marks 32 years of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s reign, Ssebunya Ssebyala Sulaiman, popularly known as Daxx Kartel, shared his deep admiration for the monarch’s leadership.
At this year’s coronation ceremonies, Daxx Kartel highlighted the Kabaka’s inclusive spirit, applauding his decision to have Kibuli Mosque lead the celebrations, a move that symbolizes unity among diverse communities.
He went on to describe Kabaka Mutebi as a true role model who consistently supports his people through initiatives such as providing medical services and empowering the youth.
“The Kabaka gave the youth the mandate to participate in all activities that uplift this generation,” Daxx Kartel said.
Shifting focus to the music scene, Daxx Kartel expressed concern about some non-Baganda artists who misuse the Luganda language in their songs.
He emphasized the importance of respecting the language by using correct grammar and pronunciation.
“Artistes should take the time to learn proper grammar and pronunciation, especially when using languages they are not familiar with,” he added.
