Delroy Lindo Speaks Out After BAFTA Awards Racial Slur Incident

Actor Delroy Lindo has spoken out after a disturbing moment at the BAFTA Film Awards.

Lindo was presenting onstage with fellow actor Michael B. Jordan when a man in the audience, identified as Tourette’s advocate John Davidson, shouted a racial slur that was picked up on the live broadcast.

The remark sparked immediate backlash. Davidson later said the outburst was linked to his Tourette’s syndrome.

Speaking at the NAACP Image Awards, Lindo chose not to revisit the comment itself.

Instead, he focused on the wave of support he received from fans, peers and the wider community.

The incident has continued to raise questions about live broadcast standards at major ceremonies like the BAFTAs.

For his part, Lindo kept his tone calm, highlighting unity and gratitude in the face of the disruption.
