Diamond Oscar Declares: “Do Not Compare Me to Big Eye, I Am Like Asake, Wizkid, and Burna Boy”

Fresh from the diaspora, former GoodLyfe singer Diamond Oscar is back home with confidence and flair, ready to make waves.

The singer is not just returning to create music. He is here to spend big, flaunt his success, and remind everyone why he is a legend in Uganda’s music scene.

His first order of business? A bold message to bar and club owners: “Stock your refrigerators, keep the drinks cold drinks, because the big boy is here.”

During a media interview, Diamond Oscar boasted about his money, claiming he has plenty of it, along with loaded Visa cards, and that he is ready to spend.

But it does not end there. Diamond Oscar proudly declared himself the best-looking musician in Uganda, dismissing any comparisons to others.

When Big Eye’s name was brought up as a worthy competitor, Diamond Oscar was quick to shut it down, calling the comparison “belittling” and “insulting.”

“Never mention Big Eye to me. Do not ever bring up such names around me. I am a legend, so you must mention my name alongside the greats because we are legends, and we worked for it. I am not just blowing my own trumpet; even children grew up listening to my songs like Take It Easy, Terminator, and Amina. We are legends, so you cannot compare me to Big Eye,” he said.

And what is a self-proclaimed legend without extravagance? Diamond Oscar showed off his tattoos, claiming they are worth over two hundred million Ugandan shillings.

He did not stop there. He compared himself to international icons like Asake, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

He even declared that his star power is too big for certain places, saying, “Ask the people of Kawala if they could ever see me perform there. Me, Diamond Oscar, performing in Kawala or singing in Nansana? Do you think that is possible? They all have to gather and come to either Serena or Sheraton.”

While he refused to reveal where exactly he was during his time abroad, Diamond Oscar hinted that life was smooth and trouble-free.

As proof, he pointed to his dreadlocks, noting that they remained intact because he never faced any arrests or issues.

“If I had gotten into any trouble, the first thing they would have done is cut off my dreadlocks,” he joked.

However, Diamond Oscar’s return is not just about parties and boasting.

He said he is on a mission to clean up Uganda’s music industry, which he feels has been derailed by vulgarity.
