DJ Nimrod Reveals Cause of Stage Fallout With Prima Kardashi
DJ Nimrod has broken his silence on his clash with Prima Kardashi, revealing that a single song sparked the fallout.
The clash happened during an Easter Monday show at Aero Beach, where Prima served as MC.
Nimrod said the tension started when she tried to make her entrance with “Wesibadde” by Sheebah Karungi, even though the singer was next on stage with the same track already in her lineup.
He turned down the request, saying he could not disrupt the performance order or repeat songs before the main act stepped on stage.
Prima was ready to dance, but she did not have anything rehearsed. Then she wanted to make her entrance with Sheebah’s song Wesibadde, yet Sheebah was coming on stage next with her performance already set and songs cued. She [Prima] was also the one meant to introduce Sheebah as the next performer. I was on stage with Sheebah’s manager, Dirisa, when she asked for the song Wesibadde, and I told her I could not play it because it was already in Sheebah’s lineup and she was coming on next. The manager also refused. Prima then lost her cool.
Nimrod also addressed Prima’s stage presence, saying she needs to learn the basics of MC work and understand how to handle live shows.
He further cautioned her against attacking more experienced figures in the industry, especially at such an early stage.
Since it was her first time MCing, I would not say she did badly. Maybe next time she will do better, but she needs to train herself to know what to say, when to say it, and how to say it. You cannot start by abusing an international DJ like me on your first show.
