DJ Roja Shuts Down Sugar Mummy Rumors Over Frequent Trips Abroad
Roja has finally broken his silence on claims that a sugar mummy is funding his jet setting lifestyle.
The speculation followed his recent international appearances, including a visit to the United States in July last year and another to Amsterdam in December.
Addressing the chatter during a sit down on Msafi, the Ugandan DJ dismissed the claims, saying his years of hard work and the strong name he has built make it clear he can afford his own travels.
I think, at the level I am at and with the time I have worked to build my name, I do not think I can fail to have the money to take those trips. I work hard, and I am grateful for where I am because God has helped me get into a position where I can save money and fund my own trips to America or France. Also, because of the name I have built, there are people who call me abroad for gigs. The first time I went to America, it was a friend who took me. The second time, it was a promoter.

He went on to say that his most recent trip to Amsterdam was work related, but also gave him a rare opportunity to slow down after months of nonstop hustling.
According to Roja, the timing of the trip allowed him, for the very first time, to step away from the hectic December 31 that usually keeps him fully booked.
I took the trip to Amsterdam because I was busy the whole year. From the time I came back from the USA up to December, I was working back to back. I do personal business, bar gigs, and TV work. Even though there were gigs here on December 31, I decided to escape the chaos and take a break. So I decided to go to Amsterdam. It was also for a gig, but I told them that I wanted to rest first because I had been so busy, and for the first time, December 31 did not find me in Uganda.
With his explanation now on record, Roja appears unbothered by the rumors, insisting his travels are simply the result of hard work and earned opportunities.
