“Do Not Put Your Man on Display,” Stecia Mayanja Warns Women

Ugandan singer-turned-politician Stecia Mayanja is making it clear: some things are better kept off social media.

The “Wabanswaliza” star has urged women to keep their relationships out of the public eye, warning that gossip and prying eyes can do serious damage.

Speaking to Daily Soup, she emphasized the power of words and how sharing too much online can ruin relationships.

Keep your relationships out of the camera. Keep your men out of the cameras and survive the eyes of those who say they wish it ends in tears. You know the tongue is very powerful. People will be there talking when you do not know, yet all you did is post… If you have something you are posting, have a limit.

Stecia’s advice extended to fellow singer Carol Nantongo, who recently got engaged.

Earlier this year, the two were embroiled in a heated public feud after Carol accused Stecia of witchcraft.

The spat included public statements, accusations, and failed attempts at reconciliation.

But past drama did not stop Stecia from extending goodwill to Carol.

She praised how Carol has handled her relationship and advised her to continue keeping it private:

Carol, you have had your relationship without exposing it to the public eye. We saw the proposal and that is how far as we should see. After all the other functions that follow, do not show much of your relationship to the public.

Whether the feud is fully behind them is anyone’s guess, yet Stecia’s advice shows she genuinely wishes Carol joy on her road to marital bliss.
