Doja Cat Reveals Borderline Personality Disorder Diagnosis

American rapper Doja Cat has revealed that she is living with Borderline Personality Disorder.

The 30 year old star shared the news in a video posted on TikTok. In the clip, she spoke about the emotional struggles she has faced for years.

Doja Cat said she learned at a young age to pretend she was happy. She often acted like everything was fine even when it was not. She also said she sometimes hid the things she truly liked or felt.

The rapper described the condition as agonising. She believes she has likely lived with it for most of her life.

According to the United States National Library of Medicine, borderline personality disorder affects how people see themselves and others.

The condition can cause strong mood swings, unstable relationships and impulsive behaviour.

Doja Cat also spoke about her progress in therapy.

She said she has spent years working on treatment and healing as she continues to improve her mental health.
