Dr. Bbosa Opens Up About Love and Respect at 60

By Macona Brian

Veteran Ugandan actor Sam Bagenda, famously known as Dr. Bbosa, is showing that love only grows stronger with time.

After being officially introduced to his fiancée Penina Kemigisa’s family, he spoke to Sanyuka Uncut about his relationship and the scrutiny that comes with it.

It has been a long time coming. I have decided that it is time. I am 60 now, and life teaches you that you do not need to rush things but you also should not postpone what matters.

He reflected on the judgments that people often make about love, especially when age is involved.

Very often, people judge without knowing your story. They see the age, not the love. They assume, but they do not ask. That is why even when we first got together, my wife and I agreed to keep it low key, not because we were ashamed, but because the public can be unkind.

Dr. Bbosa also explained why formally introducing himself to Penina’s family was so meaningful.

I was tired of being put under a microscope. Hiding gives power to critics. I want to live freely and proudly. I love my wife, and I respect her family. Introducing myself is not just a formality. It is a message that love, no matter your age, deserves respect.

With the Kwanjula approaching, fans are eagerly watching the couple, anticipating a celebration that honors both love and tradition.

Dr. Bbosa shows that passion, commitment, and respect can flourish at any stage of life.
