Dr Cephco Counters Claims That His Content Brings Shame to His Family
Dr Cephco is standing firm against claims that his bold content embarrasses his family.
While many critics believe the nature of his videos harms those close to him, Dr Cephco insists they do not understand the difference between his on-screen persona and his real-life character.
Speaking on Sanyuka CrossFire, the outspoken creator explained that his camera personality is a role he plays, much like actors in movies.
He stressed that his true self off camera is very different from the confrontational character fans see online.
When people say I embarrass my family, they are judging based on the content I create. They forget that the Cephco they see in my videos is very different from who I am off camera. Off camera, I am disciplined and well-mannered. I would not insult anyone even if provoked. But the Cephco in front of the camera is different. He will retaliate when challenged. That is just my character the same way actors play characters in movies. This is the persona I bring to the camera.
On his online feuds, Dr Cephco insists he never starts fights but always hits back when provoked.
The conflicts I have on social media happen because someone provokes me and then I retaliate. You are not going to attack me on media for my name, which I have really worked hard for, and expect me to just let it go. I have to fight right back.
Through his explanation, Dr Cephco draws a clear line between performance and reality, challenging critics to separate his art from who he is as a person.
