Dr. Kimera on Ambition, Self-Expression, and Life’s Realities in Uganda

During a recent appearance on Sanyuka Bigenda Bitya, Dr. Solomon Kimera opened up about his personal journey, career goals, and the passion that drives him.

His story offers a fresh perspective on ambition, self-expression, and the realities of life in Uganda.

Born in the suburbs of Kampala, Dr. Kimera’s decision to study at Gulu University was motivated by a desire to explore beyond familiar surroundings.

“I was born in the suburbs of Kampala and had never traveled beyond. Gulu is a safe place for everyone people just stereotype it,” he explained.

This move marked the beginning of his journey into the medical field, where he is now carving out a promising career.

Looking ahead, Dr. Kimera plans to specialize in plastic surgery, a field he believes holds great potential.

“I will specialize when the time comes, but for now, my priority is making money. Plastic surgery is where the money is people want to look good,” he said.

Emphasizing his open-minded approach, he added, “I do not judge anyone for that; it is a reward they give themselves.”

Beyond medicine, Dr. Kimera also expressed strong opinions about self-expression and personal freedom.

“Let people do what they want there is nothing wrong with piercings, tattoos, or bleaching. Everyone has the right to make decisions about their own body,” he stated.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Kimera is actively involved in content creation.

He highlighted the growing value of video content in business.

“Many business owners now appreciate content creators who focus on video. The type of content we create is rewarding, and that is why I keep doing it,” he said.

Reflecting on the economic realities of life in Uganda, Doctor Kimera was candid.

“You need two jobs one to pay the bills and another to sustain yourself,” he said, underscoring the challenges many face.
