Eddie Sendi Defends Chameleone’s Skirt-Like Outfit: “It Is Showbiz”

Singer Jose Chameleone brought high energy to the Comedy Store stage, but after the performance, much of the attention shifted to his fashion choice.

The music icon stepped out wearing a black T-shirt, a blue denim jacket, and what appeared to be a long denim kilt, which many are calling a skirt.

Some social media users mocked the look, claiming he was too old to dress that way, while others criticised it from a cultural perspective, saying it is inappropriate for a man to wear a skirt-like outfit.

However, not all the reactions were negative or disapproving.

Entertainment critic Eddy Sendi came to Chameleone’s defence in a media interview, saying the singer’s outfit was suitable for the occasion.

“There is nothing wrong with the attire. It is showbiz. People need to understand the context, where the musician is and what they are wearing it for,” Sendi explained.

He added that the outfit would only be inappropriate in more formal or traditional settings.

“If he was going to meet, let us say, the Prime Minister or his in-laws, it would be wrong. But for a stage performance like that, it is very okay,” he said.

Sendi also pointed out that the attention the outfit attracted is proof that it served its purpose.

“The fact that people are talking about it shows it worked. I am sure, wherever Chameleone is, he is very happy because he wanted to grab people’s attention, and he did just that,” he concluded.
