Eddy Kenzo Distances Himself and UNMF from Alien Skin and Bobi Wine Drama

Singer Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Ugandan National Musicians Federation (UNMF), addressed the ongoing friction between singer Alien Skin and singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, also known as Bobi Wine.

In the early hours of Saturday, 21st December 2024, Alien Skin and his FanGone Forest group were filmed attacking the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters and spray-painting the party’s building.

That very day, NUP issued a statement accusing the ‘Sitya Danger’ singer and his group of trespassing at their Kavule headquarters.

This incident sparked allegations that Alien Skin may be receiving government funding to discredit and undermine the opposition party.

However, Alien Skin has firmly denied these allegations.

Kenzo, who has been vocal about his commitment to keeping the music industry united, addressed the issue by emphasizing that the conflict between Alien Skin and Kyagulanyi is a personal matter.

He explained to Sanyuka TV that the two have their own personal issues and conflicts, and suggested that the media should approach them directly to understand the situation.

Kenzo also made it clear that he is not involved in their feud and has no intentions of getting involved.

As the president of the Ugandan National Musicians Federation (UNMF), Kenzo acknowledged the presence of a committee responsible for handling the conduct and discipline of musicians.

However, he clarified that this committee is only concerned with matters within the scope of the music industry and does not deal with personal or political issues.

He emphasized that the Ugandan National Musicians Federation (UNMF) is an apolitical organization, focusing solely on musicians, regardless of their political affiliations.

According to Kenzo, any issues that are political or personal should be resolved by the police.
