Eddy Kenzo Returns to School, Says Learning Is Key After the Stage

BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo has revealed that he has quietly returned to school and is currently pursuing a university education.

The singer, who has previously spoken about his difficult upbringing, said his early education was interrupted.

He explained that although he advanced through several classes, he did not obtain formal academic certificates, a gap he now feels he must close.

As news spread about his return, speculation quickly followed, with some suggesting the move was politically motivated.

Kenzo has now shut down that talk completely.

Speaking to Kawalya Isaac Kaiyz, he stressed that he has no plans of contesting for any political position.

I do not think I will ever contest for any political position, and people should not expect that. Not because I lack qualifications. I applied through mature entry, passed, and I am now studying at university.

Kenzo said his decision was personal and driven by responsibility rather than public perception.

He explained that he wants to set a strong example for his children and prepare for life beyond music.

He added that education is helping him plan for the future, especially as he approaches his 40s and 50s, particularly in managing businesses and long term investments.

Every generation has its own season. I will not be on stage forever. There comes a time when you have to grow, adapt, and move into a new chapter.

While he chose not to disclose the course he is studying, Kenzo emphasized that learning never stops.
