Emtee Clears the Air With Cassper Nyovest in Surprise Apology
Emtee has moved to clear the air with Cassper Nyovest.
In a public post on X, the rapper apologised for previously disrespecting the award winning star and thanked him for their past conversations.
He also revealed that he bought Cassper’s 2014 debut album Tsholofelo and still owns it, describing the project as part of the foundation that shaped the space they entered.
The two artistes came up during the mid 2010s, each carving out strong identities in South African hip-hop.
While Cassper’s early commercial run positioned him among the country’s biggest rap figures, Emtee built momentum with chart-topping hits and award winning releases of his own.
For years, tension between them drew attention at different stages of their careers.
This apology signals a reset, even as Cassper Nyovest has yet to respond publicly.
@casspernyovest I’m sorry for all the times I disrespected you. Thank you for all the deep conversations. I have nothing against you. I bought your album tsholofelo n still have it. I dont pose no threat. Thank you for paving the way for us.
