Erigga Vows Not to Be Like His Father, Rejects Polygamy
Nigerian rapper Erigga has opened up about his views on polygamy, saying it causes more harm than good.
Speaking in an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the rapper said his opinion comes from personal experience growing up in a polygamous family.
He explained that in such homes, it is usually the women and children who suffer the most, not the man.
Erigga revealed that he is determined not to repeat his father’s path by choosing monogamy instead.
He described polygamy as complicated and emotionally draining, adding that a one-partner relationship brings more peace and balance.
He urged men to avoid polygamy, saying monogamy offers a healthier and more stable family life.
I am trying not to be like my father. I do not like polygamy. One person gets hurt, which is the woman. There is never a polygamous situation where the man gets hurt. It is always the woman and the kids.
