Ugandan-born British fashion model Eva Apio has dismissed rumours linking her romantically to Fulham FC defender Calvin Bassey.
The speculation began after the two were seen together during the AFCON 2025 third place playoff between Nigeria and Egypt in Morocco.
Social media quickly ran with the moment, with some claiming they were dating.
A Nigerian blogger on X even alleged that Bassey was in the stands with his “new girlfriend,” Eva Apio.
But the model was quick to respond.
Taking to X on January 17, Apio made it clear their bond is strictly friendship.
