Even Without TikTok, My Music Will Keep Moving — Winnie wa Mummy
TikToker turned musician Winnie wa Mummy, real name Nakafeero Winnie, has addressed concerns about her presence on TikTok, insisting that her music career does not depend on the platform.
While appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Music Taxi, she made it clear that her career would survive even without TikTok.
TikTok wevako leero, music wange ajasigala atambula.
The Luganda statement loosely translates to, “Even if TikTok went off today, my music will continue moving.”
Winnie wa Mummy explained that although TikTok has helped amplify her reach and visibility, it is not the foundation of her success as an artiste.
TikTok only amplifies my music, but it is not the reason why I am who I am today, musically.
Her remarks follow ongoing reports about issues with her TikTok account, which once had over two million followers.
In recent months, viral posts have suggested that her account was restricted or banned, raising concern among fans.
Despite the social media setbacks, the “Babiyo” singer remains focused on her craft.
