Feffe Bussi Lays Out Vision for Hip-Hop Hub and Ghetto Youth Support

From “smallest rapper now the greatest,” Feffe Bussi has risen to become one of the strong voices in Uganda’s hip-hop industry.

While many musicians are branching into business and other ventures, Feffe Bussi says his next move is about impact.

Appearing on NBS After 5, the rapper opened up about thinking beyond chart topping songs and personal milestones.

He began by encouraging people to dream bigger and not limit themselves.

I am dreaming. Everyone out there should be dreaming, and you should be dreaming bigger things.

According to Feffe, he believes he has already made his mark in the hip hop sector.

Now, his focus has shifted toward creating opportunities for others, especially young people from the ghetto.

I feel I have played my part in the hip-hop sector, so my dream right now is to give young talents a chance and create a hub that can give a hand to other ghetto youths and everyone. I feel now is my time to give back to the community, help the community, and put them somewhere. By doing so, I know I will also grow.

He also spoke about strengthening the culture through structured learning and advocacy, drawing inspiration from efforts already happening within the hip-hop community.

I am going to promote more love for hip-hop, create hip hop classes, just like what Baba [Babaluku] is doing, adding onto the culture. Then we shall also lobby and see how we can help the young people.

This phase, Feffe Bussi says, is about planting seeds for others.
