Frank Gashumba Reacts to Sheilah’s Unwillingness to Refer to Malaika as “Mum”
Recently, Sheila Gashumba made it clear that she has no intention of calling her father Frank Gashumba’s fiancée, Patience Mutoni Malaika, “mum.”
Her statement, shared in response to a question from a user on X (formerly Twitter), quickly fueled a heated exchange of views.

Many people, especially those who hold such social norms closely, expressed disappointment.
On the other hand, a more progressive or “woke” audience supported Sheila, arguing that she is under no obligation to use the title.
But how does Frank Gashumba feel about Sheila’s stance?
In a recent media with Sanyuka TV, he explained that neither he nor Malaika is bothered by the comment.
“Show me a video clip where Malaika says she wants Sheila to call her ‘mummy,’” he challenged.
True to his outlook, Frank Gashumba stressed that people should not impose their personal views and expectations on his family.
