Frank Gashumba: Ugandan Female Musicians Are Good But Local

Frank Gashumba has revealed that while he listens to Ugandan female musicians and acknowledges that their music is good, he still considers them local artistes.

He explained that most of the country’s top female singers are his friends, but his view on the limits of their musical reach is based on facts, not personal bias.

Citing names like Sheebah, Rema, and Cindy, Frank emphasized that although he respects and supports them, the reality is that they are not global stars.

He challenged anyone to name even one among them who has gone abroad and held a massive concert.

Mention just one of the names I have listed who has ever gone to Germany and performed for white audiences, or to Ghana and filled a stadium, or even to South Africa or Canada.

Frank Gashumba added that, unlike some people who go on interviews and say things just to be liked, he prefers to speak the truth, even if it is uncomfortable.
