Future Faces Jail Threat as Ex Brittni Mealy Escalates Court Battle
US rapper Future is facing fresh legal trouble as his ex Brittni Mealy pushes for tougher action in court.
Mealy has asked a judge to jail the rapper, claiming he ignored a court order linked to their 12 year old son, Prince.
The dispute centers on a 2023 ruling that required Future to secure a 500,000 dollar life insurance policy, with Mealy named as trustee for their child.
According to filings, she says he has failed to meet that requirement.
She now wants the court to hold him in contempt and keep him behind bars until he complies.
The same ruling also raised his monthly child support from 3,000 to 5,000 dollars, adding more weight to the ongoing dispute.
Future has not spoken publicly about the latest claims.
The case now puts him under renewed scrutiny as the court decides the next move.
