Fyno Weighs In On DNA Testing: “You Are Looking for Pain”
The topic of DNA testing has recently taken Ugandan social media by storm.
Several cases have surfaced online where DNA tests revealed that children were not biologically related to the men believed to be their fathers.
One of the most talked-about incidents involves the late Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya.
After his death, six women came forward claiming to be his widows, each presenting children they said were his.
DNA testing later confirmed that only four out of the nine children were biologically his.
These revelations have sparked widespread public debate, with many Ugandans now calling for mandatory DNA testing immediately after childbirth.
Among those weighing in is singer and songwriter Fyno, who shared his thoughts during an interview with Sanyuka TV.
While he acknowledged the reasons behind the push for DNA testing, Fyno expressed his reservations.
“I do not fully support it. It feels like you are going out of your way to look for pain. It also feels like a way of avoiding responsibility. At the end of the day, children are still children.”
He then urged women to be honest and open about paternity, saying there seems to be a growing trend of dishonesty around the issue.
