Gloria Bugie Seeks Forgiveness from Ugandans for Leaked Nude Video
Singer Gloria Bugie, whose real name is Gloria Busingye, has issued an apology to all Ugandans for the leaked nude video that caused quite a stir.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, she clarified that she was not the one who shared the video but expressed deep regret for the hurt and inconvenience it caused.
She asked for forgiveness from her family, friends, and everyone who was affected.
Gloria Bugie also extended her apologies to Abbey Musinguzi, commonly known as Promoter Abitex, hoping he will forgive her and drop the computer misuse case he filed against her.
She explained that she had been going through a lot in her life and was in the process of healing, which is why it took her some time to make a public apology.
After discussing the matter with her management, it was decided that coming forward and apologizing to Ugandans was the right thing to do.
Gloria Bugie admitted that she is in the video but insisted that she is not responsible for its release. She described the incident as embarrassing, against cultural values, and promised that it would never happen again.
She also vowed to ensure that the person who leaked the video faces the consequences.
She advised young women not to trust anyone with private videos, warning that things can go wrong at any moment.
Gloria Bugie also addressed her earlier remarks about Promoter Abitex.
She admitted to belittling him by calling him an old man, unaware of his position as the president of music promoters in Uganda.
She explained that her remarks were made out of anger at the time but now acknowledges her mistake and understands his perspective.
Gloria Bugie concluded by saying that she has never approached Abitex nor met him personally, but her management did have a sit-down with him to resolve matters, make peace, and close that chapter.
