Gospel Artiste Levixone Eyes Pan-African Reach with Upcoming Projects
By Muhamadi Matovu
Renowned gospel musician Lucas Lubyogo, popularly known as Levixone, has set his sights on expanding his influence across the African continent, aiming to cement his name and music in the hearts of fans beyond his Ugandan roots.
Speaking about his ambitious goals, Levixone expressed his determination to have at least four of his songs playing across West Africa, while building stronger recognition of his face alongside his already celebrated name in gospel circles.
The artiste revealed that he has been working on collaborations with artistes from Uganda and across the globe, creating what he described as “beautiful” musical projects.
These collaborations, he believes, will further his mission to spread his music far and wide.
Reflecting on his previous album, The Kosovo Boy, Levixone acknowledged that while it marked a significant milestone in his career, it lacked the time and refinement his upcoming work will embody.
“I do not want to say that my album, The Kosovo Boy, was not professional, but we did not give it a lot of time. This time, we have put in a lot of effort because I want it to reach all of Africa,” he explained during an interview with local media.
Levixone also expressed solidarity with fellow Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone, who has been battling health challenges.
“Chameleone is a strong man, and we are praying for his complete healing. By the way, he is a good friend of mine,” he said.
Levixone recounted how a meeting with Chameleone in London inspired him to organize a “homecoming” concert, highlighting the mutual respect between the two of them.
