Green Daddy has dismissed claims that he is funded by a sugar mummy and has misused drugs.

Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut, the “Buwoomi” singer stressed that his success is the result of hard work, determination, and smart investments.

I have heard it. Every day, someone says I must be funded by someone else. But let me be clear I work for my money. I hustle just like everyone else. I run legitimate businesses. No shortcuts.

He explained that people often doubt young men who maintain a clean lifestyle and appear successful.

When a young man tries to live clean and look good, people do not believe he can afford it on his own. But I do not pretend. I invest in myself because I respect myself.

Green Daddy also reflected on a difficult time in his past when he used alcohol to cope with life’s pressures.

There was a time when the bottle was his only escape. When the world got too loud, he drank to forget. But not anymore.
