Grenade Names New Ugandan Artistes He Loves, Thanks Fans for Embracing Local Music

Grenade Official recently took time during an interview on Flex to praise Ugandan music fans and share his thoughts on the evolving local music scene.

While some have criticized Ugandan audiences for favoring foreign music over homegrown talent, Grenade believes the trend is shifting.

I want to thank Ugandans because they have started to appreciate good music again. I am so happy.

The “Babandana” singer also named some of the new Ugandan artistes he enjoys, including Kapeke, Recho Rey, Fyno, Ava Peace, and Vyroota.

Though he mentioned only a few, he noted that there are many emerging musicians in Uganda whose work he appreciates.
