There was an emotional scene at the High Court on Thursday when Miriam Obed Lutale, daughter of Hajji Obeid Lutale, broke down during a court session.

Overcome with frustration, Miriam expressed deep disappointment over the prolonged case that has dragged on for months without any clear progress.

According to a report by NBS TV, she tearfully lamented that justice seemed out of reach and that her family has suffered greatly because of the endless postponements.

Her outburst drew attention from those present, with many in the courtroom sympathizing with her emotional state and the toll the drawn-out legal battle has taken on her family.

The moment has since stirred debate online. Many Ugandans have expressed empathy, urging the judiciary to prioritize long-standing cases and deliver timely justice. Others, however, have advised patience, reminding the public that legal processes require time and thoroughness.

As the case continues, Miriam’s emotional plea has reignited public conversations about the pace of justice in Uganda. For many, her tears served as a painful reminder that justice delayed can often feel like justice denied, renewing calls for reforms to make the system more efficient and compassionate.
