Halima Namakula Defends Spice Diana Against Pressure to Give Birth
Veteran singer Halima Namakula has come out to defend younger female musicians, especially Spice Diana, against the growing pressure from the public and media to settle down and start families.
In recent months, Spice Diana has faced constant questions about when she plans to get married or have children.
However, Halima believes this pressure is unfair and unnecessary, especially at a time when the artiste’s career is thriving.
The “Ekimbewo” hitmaker pointed out that Spice is still in her 20s and should be given space to focus on her journey without being pushed into giving birth.
“Everyone is asking Spice for a child and a husband, but she is still young. She is still focusing on her booming career, so it will be hard to balance that with the demands of motherhood,” she said in a media interview.
According to Halima, anyone who has not yet reached the age of 30 is still young and should be allowed to enjoy life without pressure.
She encouraged society, especially men, to allow young women like Spice Diana to live freely and pursue their dreams until they mature into womanhood after their 20s.
