Hannah Karema Declares Bid For Makerere Guild Presidency

Former beauty queen Hannah Karema Tumukunde has entered the race for the 92nd Guild Presidency at Makerere University.

Hannah revealed her bid on social media with the slogan “Let’s Make the Right Choice,” promising to represent the voices of students at the “Mighty Hill.”

In her message to fellow students, she called on them to take action and choose leaders who are ready to step forward rather than remain on the sidelines.

Her campaign hashtag #Hana4MAK has already started trending among students online.

Before joining student politics, Hannah gained national recognition after winning the Miss Uganda 2023 crown.

She later won the Beauty With a Purpose award at Miss World and finished as 1st runner-up Miss World Africa.

Supporters have already started rallying behind her campaign as the guild race begins to take shape.
