Hilda Baci’s Jollof Rice Cook Upgraded to World’s Biggest Rice Record

Hilda Baci has a new reason to celebrate.

The Nigerian celebrity chef has received fresh Guinness recognition after her massive jollof rice cook in Lagos was upgraded to a bigger global category.

In September 2025, Hilda teamed up with Gino Rice and cooked an incredible 8,780 kilograms of Nigerian style jollof rice. The feat was first certified as the largest serving of jollof rice.

Now Guinness has confirmed that the same cook also counts as the largest serving of rice ever made, no matter the style.

The Lagos event attracted huge crowds as teams stirred giant pots for hours. More than 16,600 plates were served, with many shared with people at the venue.

Hilda first became a global name in 2023 after Guinness confirmed her long cooking marathon that lasted over 93 hours.

With this latest boost, Hilda is once again putting Nigerian food on the world map.
