“I Am Not on X,” Walukaga Warns Fans About Impersonators
Musician and politician Mathias Walukaga has spoken out about an X (formerly Twitter) account that is operating under his name.
Walukagga, who is also the National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer for Busiro East, made it clear during a press conference that he has no account on that platform.
I want to make it clear to all my supporters and the public that I am not on X. I only use Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp to communicate with my fans and constituents.
The “Nankasa” singer expressed concern over the fake account, which has been posting political statements and personal opinions as though they were his.
He condemned the act as an intentional move to mislead the public and tarnish his name.
Whoever is behind that account is trying to create confusion and spread falsehoods in my name. I have already instructed my team to follow up the matter with the relevant authorities.
Walukaga urged his supporters to verify official pages before sharing or believing anything online.
NUP has also been notified about the incident, with party members calling for more vigilance among supporters as online impersonation continues to affect several Ugandan public figures.
Walukaga reaffirmed his focus on service and development, saying his energy remains on uplifting the people of Busiro East through honest engagement.
My focus remains on working for my people and spreading messages of unity and development. Please ignore the fake posts and only trust what comes from my official pages.
