“I Only Sing Classics,” Sama Sojah Declares with Confidence

Although he has been quiet for some time, Ugandan singer and songwriter Sama Sojah, real name Ivan Tony Kizito, insists he has never truly left the music scene.

According to him, people have simply been looking for him in the wrong places.

The “Nnyonyi Nyange” singer made it clear that he is still active in music because it is a part of who he is.

While he may not appear in the media often, he continues to create music at his own pace, just as he always has.

He stated that he only creates timeless classics, that are purposeful, well-crafted, and remain relevant for years.

Beyond music, Sama Sojah revealed that he has ventured into farming and livestock rearing.

During a media interview, he described himself as a hustler who is always seeking financial opportunities.

When asked how he avoids conflicts with other musicians, he said he simply does not have the time or energy for such matters.

He also mentioned that he is an educated man with a degree, as well as a husband and father, which is why he chooses to focus on his responsibilities rather than unnecessary disputes.

As for a brief background, Sama Sojah emerged in the music industry around the time singer Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, better known as Mowzey Radio, passed away.

His journey to establishing a unique identity was challenging, as many fans felt his distinct look, fashion sense, music style, and vocals closely resembled the late Goodlyfe star.

With his sound often compared to Mowzey Radio’s, questions about his originality emerged.

However, he has still managed to carve out his own space in the industry, winning over fans with songs like “Akaama,” “Akadde,” “Esuubi,” and “Kikondoolo.”

Despite the everything, Sama Sojah continues to stay true to his music and family.
