“I Will Walk From Kyanja to NBS Sport in a Dress and Heels If Arsenal Finish the Season Trophy-less” — Salvador
For Arsenal fans, the past few seasons have been a test of patience.
The club has consistently come close to winning major trophies, especially the Premier League, but has fallen short at the final hurdle, earning them the teasing nickname “Next Season FC.”
But one of Arsenal’s most passionate supporters, Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvador, is refusing to accept another season of disappointment.
Speaking on NBS Sport, Salvador confidently declared that this upcoming season will finally be the one where Arsenal lifts a trophy.
This is our season. If it is not our season? Let me say this to Mr. Andrew Kabuura, because he is the biggest hater of Arsenal. Andrew Kabuura, if Arsenal does not win anything this season, I will walk from Kyanja to NBS Sport putting on a dress and kakondo [heels]. Mark my words.
Salvador’s dramatic wager highlights just how much Arsenal fans crave success after coming agonizingly close multiple times.
Why the Hope This Season?
Arsenal’s recent track record shows they have been league title contenders, finishing second for three consecutive seasons.
In 2022–23, they kicked off with their best-ever Premier League start but fell just short to Manchester City by 5 points.
In 2023–24, they remained runners-up, again narrowly missing out by 2 points, still to Manchester City.
In 2024–25, Arsenal finished second once more with a strong record but trailed champions Liverpool by 10 points.
The 2025-26 season, however, brings renewed hope.
Arsenal have bolstered their squad with key signings, especially the arrival of forward Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.
Other notable signings include midfielder Martín Zubimendi, winger Noni Madueke, center-back Cristhian Mosquera, midfielder Christian Nørgaard, and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
All these moves signal real ambition.
