Irene Ntale Hints at Concert Next Year, Explains Six-Year Gap

It has been over six years since Ugandan singer Irene Ntale held a solo concert.

Her last major performance, The Ntale Unchained Concert, took place on July 6, 2018, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

A lot has changed since then, including Ntale tying the knot and navigating a busy music career.

Speaking to Diaspora Connect Ug, the “Stay with Me” hitmaker opened up about why concerts have been a rare occurrence for her.

She revealed that the biggest challenge when it comes to concerts is finances.

Concerts are not easy, especially when you are the one funding them yourself. That is why I respect musicians who do back-to-back concerts.

Ntale added that her high standards for production also contribute to the delay.

The kind of production I want and the things I want to do take a lot of time and money. Sometimes we get promoters who want to buy an event and organize it for you, but they are going to organize it in a way that you do not like. So for me, to do something that is just there, I would rather leave it.

Despite the long gap, Ntale gave fans hope, hinting that a new concert could be on the horizon.

Hopefully next year I will have a concert, with all my old music and some new songs, at Serena, definitely.

Fans of the singer can now look forward to seeing Ntale perform live once again, promising a blend of her classic hits and fresh material.
