Is Talent Still Enough? Kamenyo Speaks on Shifting Music Standards

Victor Kamenyo has weighed in on the state of today’s music industry, pointing out how much things have shifted from the past.

In an interview with YouTuber Saymore Official, the Ugandan rapper shared his concerns about how talent is no longer the primary key to success.

Music today is not as easy as it used to be. A lot has changed.

He reflected on a time when the industry prioritized skill and ability.

In the past, the music industry welcomed those who truly knew what they were doing. Every artiste who rose to fame did so because of their talent.

But according to Kamenyo, that standard no longer holds.

That is no longer the case. Today, many other factors have taken center stage, and talent is no longer the first requirement.

He also questioned whether changing audience preferences are part of the shift.

Could it be that audiences now want something completely different? The things that entertain them today are very different from those in the past.

To him, these changes reflect a broader transformation in society as a whole.

The world has changed, and so has the music industry.
