Iyanya Opens Up About Struggle With Staying Celibate
Iyanya, 39, has shared why marriage is not on his mind, saying he is still in a healing phase.
Speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, the Nigerian singer admitted that he tries to stay celibate but often falls short, especially when he meets women he finds attractive.
He said the cycle usually ends in regret, even though he struggles to stay disciplined.
The “Kukere” hitmaker explained that this is why he now chooses to be honest when meeting women.
Instead of making big promises, he tells them he is not in the emotional space for something serious.
Iyanya added that in the past he might have said what people wanted to hear, but now he avoids leading anyone on while he works on himself.
