John Blaq Says Getting Rema for a Collabo Is an Uphill Task
John Blaq has worked with several big names in the industry, including Vinka, Daddy Andre, Irene Namubiru, Levixone, Ykee Benda and Jowy Landa, among others.
But despite the impressive list, the “Makanika” singer says he still has a few names on his collaboration wish list.
Speaking on KFM, he revealed that he would love to work with female stars Sheebah Karungi and Rema Namakula.
While he has previously shared a song with Sheebah, he says it does not quite count because it was not a one on one collaboration.
I have worked with Sheebah before, but we were always many on the song, like three people. I just want me and her.
As for Rema, John Blaq admitted that he has wanted to work with her since he began his music career.
However, he revealed that despite making several attempts to reach out, getting in touch with her has proven challenging.
I have wanted to work with Rema since 2019, when I had just started music, but I have not gotten the chance. I still believe it will happen. I have tried getting in touch, but she is hard to reach. I do not know, I think it is the people around her. And the problem is that whenever I see her, she is always busy. Sometimes we are backstage, but I believe in God’s timing. One day, I will bag that collaboration.
Even with the hurdles, the singer remains hopeful that the collaboration will eventually come to life.
