Jose Chameleone Undergoes Eye Surgery Following Vision Scare

Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone has shared a health update after undergoing eye surgery in Kampala.

The singer said on Wednesday, 18 February 2026 that the procedure was carried out at Kampala Eye Lasik Hospital.

He explained that he had been losing sight in his right eye, which led to urgent medical attention.

Following the procedure, Chameleone thanked Dr. Ludovica Tindebwa and the medical team for their care and support.

I thank Dr. Ludovica Tindebwa and the entire Kampala Eye Lasik Hospital team for my eye surgery and your hospitality. I was rapidly losing my sight on my right eye. I seek your healing as always my Lord.

The update comes after a period of health challenges for the “Valu Valu” hitmaker.

Earlier, he battled acute pancreatitis and travelled to the United States in December 2024 for specialised treatment before returning to Uganda in April 2025.

With the surgery done, he is now focused on getting better and returning to normal life.
