Joshua Baraka Reflects on Childhood Habit of Making Up Stories

Joshua Baraka recently looked back on a funny moment from his childhood that still makes him laugh today.

The Ugandan singer shared that when he was younger, he had a habit of making up stories. One memory in particular stood out while he was speaking about his early years.

Baraka recalled walking home from school with a boy who usually used the same route. They were not close friends and mostly just kept each other company on the way. In fact, Baraka had never visited the boy’s home and knew nothing about his family.

One afternoon the boy suddenly fainted along the road. The unexpected scene drew attention from people nearby as they rushed to see what had happened.

As everyone tried to understand the situation, Baraka stepped forward and began explaining the boy’s condition as though he knew the full story.

He even spoke about the boy’s childhood health and worried about how the news would reach the boy’s mother.

Years later, Baraka admits he actually knew very little about the boy.

The memory now serves as a reminder of how imaginative he could be as a child.
