Jowy Landa Reacts After Kin Bella Names Sheebah the Only Queen
Ugandan singer Jowy Landa is standing by her claim to the title “Queen of the New Generation” despite criticism from some voices in the music industry.
The debate around the title has persisted, with both Ava Peace and Jowy Landa often mentioned by fans as leading figures among the new crop of female artistes.
The conversation recently drew in singer Kin Bella, who weighed in by saying the only queen she recognizes in the industry is Sheebah Karungi.
Responding to the remarks during an interview on Rewind, Jowy Landa said she is not forcing anyone to believe in her claim.
She also emphasized that her title is “Queen of the New Generation,” while noting that Sheebah remains the queen.
It is not a problem. I do not force anyone to believe in me. Very many people believe in me, including my team and my mother. I cannot force anyone to believe in me. I am the queen of the new generation, but Queen Sheebah is still the queen, of course. I said Queen of the new generation.
Addressing comparisons with Ava Peace over the same title, Jowy Landa said artistes are free to call themselves whatever they want.
Everyone has the liberty to call themselves what they want. This is a free world.
Despite Kin Bella not acknowledging her claim to the title, Jowy Landa said there is no bad blood between them and described the singer as a friend.
