Jowy Landa Says She Makes Millions Despite “Upcoming Artiste” Label

Six years into her music career, Jowy Landa says she is not losing sleep over being called an “upcoming artiste.”

The singer, born Joan Namugerwa, addressed the label during an interview on Galaxy TV, making it clear that the tag does not bother her.

She said the criticism carries little weight because her music career is already bringing in steady income.

I am not offended when people call me an upcoming artiste because I make money, millions every week. Nothing can bring me down. People say these things to weaken us, but I am a star and I am not intimidated at all.

Still, she warned that criticism should not cross the line into personal attacks.

According to her, dragging her family into online insults would not be tolerated.

Those calling me upcoming are just haters. Everyone has the freedom to say what they want, and I am fine with that as long as it does not go too far and disrespect my family.
