Kampala or Mbarara Artiste? Omega 256 Clarifies Her Musical Identity
OIn a recent interview on Horizon Vibe, songstress Omega 256 addressed the chatter surrounding her roots and where she spends most of her time.
Although she is from Western Uganda, she spends most of her time in Kampala.
Some even suggest that she is more of a Kampala artiste than a Western Uganda artiste.
However, Omega 256 dismissed the debate, making it clear that her whereabouts do not determine what kind of artiste she is.
Where I am does not that matter. This is a country for everybody. It is the capital city for everybody. Everybody is welcome to be here. Where I am does not matter. I remain a Munyankole regardless of where I am.
She went on to emphasize that, no matter where she works or lives, she proudly carries her roots while embracing opportunities across the country.
The self-styled Queen of the West concluded by encouraging fans to turn out in large numbers for her concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on September 19.
